WELCOME MESSAGE

Hi Janella Patience here, I live in the Midwest Region of Western Australia.

I have been a Natural Horsemanship Enthusiast since the early 1990's when I first caught a glimpse of Pat Parelli giving a brief float loading demo on the news. The demo caught my eye and I decided that If I ever got a chance to watch Pat in Western Australia then I would go. That chance came fairly soon and myself and a friend were off to Morning Sun Ranch in Perth for a two day clinic, to say that this was a point in time that changed my life forever is probably a gross understatement.

I went on to do a three day live in Parelli camp with my husband's, horse (Tweed) in Margaret River.camping out on a wonderful property owned at the time by Shane & Neil Innes. This was the start of my natural journey, that would take me accross the world in 1997, to spend three months living and studying with Pat & Linda Parelli at their Pagosa Springs Ranch, Colorado. It also led to the meeting of so many wonderful horsemen/women from all corners of the world, and life as a 'Parelli Professional'.

I have moved on from the structure of the Parelli System, to life as an independant 'natural horseperson' I now study with horsemen such as Phil Rodey and Steve Halfpenny (finalist of Equitana Way of the Horse competition 2010).

In 2000 I bought a farm so that my horses could live a 'natural' herd lifestyle. One bonus is that I no longer require the services of a farrier, the hilly, gravelly terrain keeps their feet trimmed very naturally.

2010 I attended my first Buck Brannaman Clinic, and have been inspired, so much so that I am keen to start some teaching again with local Group Lessons, to promote good horsemanship.

I am loving life with my horses, I love having the time to hang around with them.

I hope you enjoy my web site, please email me with comments or queries, or just to say hello...

Cheers Janella.

  Zoharo Dawn (Farm Name)

(derived from the names of the four horses I had when we brought the property back in April 2000, Zoey, Hamony, Rose and Dawn).

The Farm is about 500 acres, and the main arable area is used for Sheep/cattle grazing and Cropping, which still leaves plenty of area for riding trails. The hills a beautiful part of the property, are fenced to protect the native flora and fauna. We do occasionally have visits from the wild pig population, which can cause some excitement amongst the horses...... Lots of great creek crossings and ups and downs, enough to ensure that we never get bored riding around 'the block'.

Once upon a time my horse population rose to 13, but is now down around the 7/8 mark, which is a more easier number to look after well.

Farm Visits

For those wishing to have a 'natural horsemanship' farm holiday, who like to bring their own horses on holiday and who dont mind 'shed' accommodation, (with hot & cold running water....).

Then please email me for availability. Mostly people come and stay during Clinics, but other times of year can be just as rewarding.

Wildflower season, can be really wonderful, with great outcrops of rocks to sit on and ponder. The farm views are amazing and most days the weather is kind.

I also occasionally have Horse agistment available for special people/horses.

MIDWESTERNERS CLUB

The Local Midwesterners Natural Horsemanship group meet here regularly, vist on a club day, for a Group session, Ride around the farm or maybe to traverse nearby roads.
